Let’s address the elephant in the room, ‘Strategy’.

The ubiquitous buzzword of the advertising and marketing universe. Everyone wants the ‘STRATEGY’, everyone wants to talk about strategy, everyone wants to form the strategy, everyone wants to go ahead with the strategy, everyone is blaming the strategy, everyone is admiring the strategy, and everything is just about STRATEGY.

Once a word synonymous with careful planning, rigorous research, and consciously planned actions, it now seems to be thrown around with the same carelessness and casualness as a child’s tantrum. In the great theatre of corporates, the term strategy has taken centre stage trying to make the boardroom meetings more sophisticated.

In the not-so-distant past, strategy as a term used to carry knowledge, objectives, facts, observations, insights, and much more. Fast forward to today, the term strategy is now has become a jargon to be thrown, when an individual wants to sound intellectual.

Today the essence of strategy as a term has been reduced to pandemonium. Multiple people talking about multiple strategies, nonetheless let’s talk about the ins and outs of strategies. In simple terms, strategy is a set of interrelated and powerful choices backed by research and facts that enables organizations, brands, industries, nations, and even individuals to thrive and walk towards success and their desired goals. It is a blueprint that is curated by keeping each and every dimension in mind to fulfil objectives and eradicate inefficiencies.

Talking about brands and advertising strategy plays an important role. Brands are ‘the brands’ because of strategy, the strategy that has been made by doing actual research about consumer behaviour, target groups, market etc, and then experts carefully curate communication lines to create ‘THE BRAND’.

The strategy runs deeper into the veins of brands, from carefully crafting the brand persona, writing a tagline, designing a logo, forming a vision, positioning statement, value proposition, and curating campaigns to the creation of the ultimate brand. Today, unfortunately, everyone is forgetting the true essence of the term strategy, and using it like, ‘Oh, I had a strategy for breakfast in the morning’.

People, please stop using Strategy as jargon, strategy is a thoughtful analysis of market dynamics, competitors, consumers, their buying behaviour, multiple emotional insights, and rigorous research. STRATEGY is a powerful word, and its power lies in thoughtfulness, research and precision.

That’s all for now! Riocoon will get back to you soon with some amazing content!

REMEMBER, STRATEGY IS NOT JARGON TO BE THROWN AROUND!

Relevant, irrelevant; I tell you these terms have created havoc since they have resurfaced with the Gen-Z. They’ve been adding quite a lot to the dictionary these days. Terms like cancel culture, slay, delulu, rizz and so many more have made their way to the millennials. And mind you, there’s a lot more floating around which will have to be accepted sooner or later.

With terms that defy a current generation, or a rather specific stratum of the generation there come a lot of ‘wannabe(s)’. Who are wannabes, you ask? Well, from a branding or marketing perspective, wannabes are the players who move out of their age-old, established positioning to ‘vibe’ with the new-age audiences, hence losing their credibility in the psyche of the audiences. So, in order to try and be relevant, they lose the chance to establish themselves uniquely. The ideology of being a brand that satisfies all, in reality, manages to reach none.

Technology-driven platforms are always going to treat you with avenues and innovations that will feel tempting and worth giving a try, but the novelty of these avenues should not be directly proportional to your approach. To put it simply, if you’re an FMCG brand carrying a legacy of 60 years, don’t just change your packaging to look cool on Social Media. The tonality, the touch points, and maybe even the face might not compliment the OG and you’ll end up creating a new positioning. And the vicious circle of awareness-sales-recall repeats itself. And if at all you are aiming to do exactly that, look around, contemplate, rethink, and do something absolutely revolutionary; otherwise don’t bother.

Staying relevant with the audience gives them a strange authority to dictate your next move, and ultimately it can lead to your death. Instead, moulding the audience according to your positioning via strong recall, collaterals, and visual communication can give you an edge over the wannabes of the market.

Everyone can make memes, casually change positioning, do collaborations with irrelevant influencers, talk like everyone (no one) does, and spend exorbitant amounts of money to get a face that doesn’t compliment the brand. It is just a few that make a place for themselves with positioning like ‘G maane Genius’ ‘Kuchh meetha ho jaaye’, ‘Amul doodh peeta hai India’ and make every generation vibe to their jingles.

Following baseless trends, taking an approach devoid of market analysis, and forcing associations has lead brands into uncleanable, unacceptable messes.

Staying relevant is about keeping on to be more of what you already are. Period.

Within the constantly changing world of business-to-business marketing, where data is king and spreadsheets dance, there is a subtle revolution gaining traction: influencer partnerships. Although influencers are well-known for their beautiful appearances promoting the newest cosmetic product or showing off far-flung trip places, the business-to-business (B2B) sector has been slow to adopt this kind of marketing. But what if we’re missing out on a goldmine of untapped potential?

Remember the time when Mircosoft collaborated with Neil Patel to promote its cloud computing solutions? His campaign resulted in a massive rise in lead generation and conversions. Also, Adobe collaborated with several LinkedIn influencers to promote their creative software solutions.

Now, let’s take a trip into the uncharted territories of B2B influencer partnerships, where #ROI meets the world of boardrooms and business suits.

Rethinking B2B: More Than Just Numbers

When one thinks of B2B marketing, one frequently visualises lead funnels, pie charts, and the never-ending quest for the perfect conversion rate. However, what if I told you that influencers who demand attention and trust hold the key to opening doors in the business world instead of another analytics tool?

The decision-makers are individuals who may be hidden behind the curtains of a corporate facade but are just as gullible to the allure as their B2C counterparts.

The Human Touch in a Digital World

In a digital age dominated by algorithms and automation, the human touch can be a game-changer. B2B influencers, armed with industry knowledge and a personal touch, can bridge the gap between faceless corporations and the individuals behind them. They can add a human element to marketing campaigns, injecting authenticity and credibility that resonates with decision-makers.

Imagine a CEO scrolling through their LinkedIn feed and stumbling upon a post from a respected industry influencer endorsing a B2B service. Suddenly, the cold, impersonal world of corporate solutions becomes a conversation sparked by a familiar face—a face that carries weight, authority, and a sense of connection.

Case in Point: From Selfies to Boardrooms

Consider the story of a tech influencer who, through engaging content and insightful commentary, has gained a following of CTOs, IT managers, and tech enthusiasts. When this influencer partners with a B2B tech company, the impact can be seismic. Suddenly, the company is not just a logo on a website; it’s a recommendation from a trusted source, a voice that has guided its audience through countless industry trends.

This shift from consumer-facing influencers to B2B power players is a paradigm shift waiting to be explored. The journey from selfies to boardrooms might seem unconventional, but in the evolving landscape of B2B marketing, the unconventional often holds the key to unlocking unprecedented success.

Embracing the Unconventional

As we navigate the uncharted waters of B2B influencer partnerships, it’s time to reevaluate our preconceptions. The power of influence knows no boundaries, and its potential in the B2B world is limitless. It’s time to embrace the unconventional, to recognise that decision-makers are not immune to the allure of thought leaders and that in the realm of B2B marketing, the influence might just be the missing piece of the puzzle.

After all, in the world of B2B, the influencer’s journey from selfies to boardrooms might be the most compelling narrative waiting to be written.

In a blink-and-scroll world where attention span resembles fireflies flitting through the night – here, one moment, gone the next, the battle for engagement has reached its peak. The digital age – where the currency of success is not gold or silver but those precious seconds/minutes a user chooses to spend on your content. In this cursory dance of glances, two unsung heroes emerge from the shadows, donning capes woven from pixels and words – Content & UI.

Let’s take an example into consideration for both UI and content.

UI – the dance of pixels

UI acts as your charming host, the one responsible for creating that indelible first impression. Here, the design of your digital abode matters more than ever.

A sleek, intuitive UI is the key to seducing the fleeting attention of your audience. Think of it as the well-choreographed opening act of a show – it sets the stage, attracts the audience, and leaves them yearning for more. Navigating your site should be seamless like a waltz, not an obstacle course. Capturing attention without demanding it is the key.

But, keeping in mind people, let’s not forget the paradox of choice. Too many options can be overwhelming. UI is the silent symphony that guides users through the digital landscape, ensuring they linger long enough to discover the real gem—your content.

There’s another “but”.

You have the most visually stunning website, but if your content is akin to a bland monologue, users will swiftly exit stage left. Content is not just about words; it’s about crafting an experience or maybe a positive feeling. Be it a blog post, a product description, or a quirky about us page, the narrative should be a magnetic force, pulling users into the world you’ve constructed. Exactly like building a house.

In this world, where tweets have replaced the times, conciseness is the soul of the wit, and attention spans may be fleeting, but a well-crafted sentence, a compelling headline, or a thought-provoking caption can be the pixie dust. The current generation are not fireflies, they’re the honeybees searching for a flowerful of content to consume.

I read somewhere on Pinterest that the content should be a journey, not a destination – a series of delightful surprises that keeps users on the edge of their digital seats.

In this world, the marriage of Content & UI is not a luxury but a necessity. It’s the secret potion that turns a casual visitor into a loyal follower, a one-time customer into a brand evangelist. Because, the magic is not in the pixels alone, nor is it in the words alone.

Fair is quite a misunderstood word. Fair and unfair are quite subjective to the context and the respective people who are a part of the process.

In a day and age where avenues of advertising are continuously increasing and technology is taking center stage to show us new and innovative ways to take a brand or a product to more and more people, it’s important to be omnipresent.

The question is, is your TG acknowledging your omnipresence? Or rather, are they okay with the fact that you are literally everywhere? Answering these questions, as an advertising professional, will reflect some biases, but one thing we can all agree on is that too much of anything induces a redundancy-provoked irritation.

Ads are everywhere. On each screen, in newspapers, on billboards, in cinemas, in flights, on buses, in trains, etc. It’s almost impossible to not be advertised to. Ironically, if you can’t see, there are ads you can hear, and that too repetitively. To overcome this, we get subscriptions. The so-called ad-free models are a scheme of the media giants to classify subscribers as ‘premium customers’ among the masses who HAVE TO watch ads before they can watch what they came looking for. Believe it or not, only YouTube has stayed entirely true to the Subscription model by not showing ads before and during the video, Ad banners as well as overlay ads to customers who have paid a sum of ₹129 a month. This model becomes a huge barrier for brands and their effort to find potential customers from a platform as big and as widely used as YouTube. Paying money comes with its perks. Or is that merely a myth…?

I’m sure we all might agree that if we wanted to see our favourite shows on a TV devoid of ‘smartness’ or OTT apps, we’d be okay with watching advertisements; like we’ve been seeing before the OTT madness took over. But today, there are expectations we have from these OTT platforms. Expectations like early releases of films online, early access to featured shows and films, extended or directors’ version of films and shows, on-demand entertainment, and an ad-free experience.

What if you get them all but the last one?

  • What if you paid a sum of around ₹1000 for the best content curated from multiple sources from all across the world and still saw ads?
  • What if you paid a whopping ₹1500 and there was an ad break in between the show you’ve been waiting to watch since long?
  • Among all these what-ifs, there is one more that scares the living hell out of us.
  • What if each platform takes up this model of showing ads to subscribers and the concept of OTT starts resembling to cable TV model?

All that’s mentioned above, is from a subscriber’s point of view. Now let’s talk about it from an advertisers perspective.

As an advertiser, I want them to see ads, I want me to see ads, and I want us all to see ads. And not just ads that carry the persona of the protagonist in the narrative but ads that are smart, ads that intrigue and ads that convince us to spend money. But then again there’s a bias involved.

I’d want viewers to watch a little story I cooked up in the midst of an interesting story they’re watching.

All in all, as an advertiser I’d love OTT platforms to show ads to premium customers who can afford to spend x amount of money for content, but as subscribers, we’d obviously be against it.

Quite the contradiction and conundrum, isn’t it?

The ball’s in your court to decide whether it’s fair or not, but then again the verdict lies with the media moguls and the desperation of brands as well as agencies to provoke these kinds of models.

Until then, Adios from Rioconn. We’ll be back with more to connect with you.

In today’s business landscape, there are various marketing roles within companies, which might leave you wondering: why should you consider hiring an advertising agency in Ahmedabad? Well, let’s dive into it. Marketing plays a pivotal role in getting your products or services into the hands of the public, and whether you’re a startup, a small business, or a larger corporation, you’ll need a strategy for effectively selling what you offer. Furthermore, agencies offer you flexibility. Advertising agencies in Ahmedabad provide a versatile, contract-based approach to growing your business. Instead of maintaining an entire in-house marketing department, going with an agency can save you both time and money, all while bringing numerous other advantages to the table. When you hire an ad agency, you’re not only creating value for your business and successfully reaching consumers, but you’re also tapping into a range of benefits that can give your business a competitive edge. Looking for the best advertising agency in Ahmedabad? Look no further than Rioconn Interactive Pvt Ltd! Our team is here to boost your brand and take your business to new heights.

Reasons for hiring an advertising agency for your brand success

Better return on your investment:

When you hire an advertising agency, you get added benefits, like having access to their professional team, which includes designers, content writers, and others. Finding the right in-house advertising specialist for your needs can be tough, and they might need training and a long time to fit into your company’s way of working. So why invest in in-house advertising when you can hire Rioconn Interactive Pvt Ltd known as the best advertising agency in Ahmedabad

Lift the burden off your employees:

Certain companies attempt to save money by piling on extra advertising tasks onto their current employees. This increased workload not only adds to their stress but also diminishes their effectiveness in their regular duties. It’s a smarter move to hire an agency, allowing your staff to concentrate on their usual job responsibilities.

Offers Better Media Planning:

Before launching a campaign, professionals conduct research. They choose the right advertising platforms based on the product’s characteristics. Ad agencies in Ahmedabad don’t usually favour one specific marketing medium and hence they pick the one that suits the specific campaign best. They enlist experts to make this choice. Conversely, when you approach media representatives directly, they might feel pressured to sell their product or service to meet their monthly targets. So choosing ad agencies for the success of your brand and business can be the best decision of yours.

Get an Updated Strategy for Customer Engagement:

Ahmedabad’s top advertising agencies provide tailored support to businesses and brands. They begin by comprehending your business objectives and then craft a suitable strategy. Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach that overlooks outcomes, these agencies guarantee that you achieve the highest level of online and offline visibility through inventive marketing. Take advantage of their campaigns and the industry’s most skilled professionals to witness substantial growth in your brand.

Helps in achieving business targets and goals:

The great thing about having advertising experts on your team is their all-encompassing approach to campaigns. They don’t use a generic method but focus on understanding your specific business goals and vision. This leads to a significant impact because the advertising content truly connects with your ideas. Step-by-step, you can achieve your business goals with the best advertising tactics.

Keep yourself updated: An advertising agency stays updated on the latest market trends. They stay connected with other advertising experts and improve their knowledge by attending seminars and reading magazines. An in-house employee might not have the time to stay updated in this manner. Ready to experience the expertise of the best advertising agency in Ahmedabad? Contact Rioconn now and let us elevate your brand with cutting-edge strategies and stay ahead of market trends.

Accountability: One of the benefits of hiring an agency is that you can inquire about their strategies if they’re not producing the desired results. In contrast, you can’t hold an in-house employee solely responsible for any setbacks. If certain advertising tactics aren’t delivering the expected outcomes, you have the freedom to ask the agency to investigate what went wrong and adjust their plans accordingly.
